Portrait of a young woman: painting with brushes With the Olympics 2008 in Beijing just closed, the focus on China will gradually get less. This portrait of Zhang Ziyi may remind you of the great moments of the Olympics. We created a brush mask reflecting a simple stroke of a crayon pencil and repainted her picture. This mask was created with Corel Painter Essentials 3 (aka MetaCreations' Painter, designed by the great software artist Kai Krause). The final picture was rendered with 60x67 cells of 36x36 pixels size. The mask was rotated in random sequence between -60 and +60 degrees of the horizontal. No post-processing was done. Mosaic from a masked source picture and projected on a different background The mosaic frame was made from the source picture on the right. A mask ('Malta') was used to create the frame on the left, while the original source picture was replaced with a different background picture. This way the frame can be made from any source that differ from the background on which the mosaic result is finally projected. It is especially useful when complex effects such as random build, shadow and masks are required. Liberty Statue: Mosaizer Pro can generate multi-photo's with 8 different patterns This pattern is 'Mosaic'. The default is 'Square', and also rectangular portrait and landscape is possible, brickwise or straight. This well known picture shows the effect of the mosaic brick pattern very nicely. The picture was generated with the Mosaizer function. The new built-in filters can create 3D effects Several built-in filters are now available from Mosaizer version 4.4 and below, examples of these filters are shown. Each effect has specific controls to set the required effect. From left to right: - shade: the amount and depth of the shade can be manually set - buttonize square (and rectangular) cells - buttonize circular cells - apply a wave filter to create distortion effects This full version has a limitation: after 30 days the anonymous license expires, and you need to request a serial number by e-mail.
